Perhaps
many of you who are fascinated by the felted creations feel intimidated to try
this hobby. I know the feeling. When I first saw and touched a needle felted
figurine, I went speechless. I was even more shocked when I saw the fluffy wool
and the little needle that were the only needed materials and tools for needle
felting. How could you actually Make things from such tender materials?
I'll share with you my story for my first touch to needle felting another time, but now let’s focus
on the question of this post. You can prepare an awesome meal even if you are not
a cook, right? I do believe that you are capable of creating marvelous
figurines and projects with needle feting even if you are just a crafty fellow
like myself.

So if you
are interested in trying this hobby, don’t hesitate to do it. It is not as hard
as it seems and it doesn’t take huge amount of time. If you are not confident
in your talents, start small until you get used to the techniques and find your
own style. There are plenty of projects you can create that are simple and
awesome, like Christmas balls.
My advice for
everyone who is starting with felting is to really really enjoy every part of it
and do it for yourself. Like everything else – the more you practice, the
better you’ll get. I’ll give you a glimpse on my first projects in felting.
I
admit I was tempted to throw them away but eventually I decided that it is
better to remember from where I've started. There will be another post
dedicated to my first attempts in needle felting, so stay tuned if you are
curious (and pleaseeee don’t be too harsh).
1 Start small with simple projects
2 Don’t give up if some projects don’t
turn out as perfect as you expected right away
3 Practice with various projects –
from animals to flowers and decorations
Have you tried needle felting yet? I would love to see your first projects, please share.
GOOD LUCK!
